Which time of day is it better to work out to lose more specific body fat? Mornings or evenings?
It is better to work out in the morning. Why? Because you have the rest of the day to actually burn more calories. So it’s very important.
A. Morning training stimulates your metabolism. That stimulation of metabolism, take it 8, 10, 12 hours, 14, whatever it is for the rest of the day contributes enormously to fat loss and all the hormonal effects.
The problem with working out too late is it jacks up your cortisol and when your cortisol is jacked up, your adrenals get a little bit burned out. And when you’re sleeping, it’s hard for your body to potentiate growth hormone. Growth hormone stipulates, burns body fat. I don’t want to get too technical, but there are other hormonal issues happen when you work out. Okay? And sometimes it affects your sleep—abnormally affects your sleep because your cortisol is high.
In the morning you have is when your cortisol is should be high. During the day, your cortisol, which is correlated to your adrenals and stress levels should be going down. You’re preparing for sleep.
So that’s why it’s very important to train in the morning. The best time I feel better when I train in the morning for the rest of the day. So when you train in the evening, you’re jacking up your cortisol at the wrong time, which you should be preparing your body for rest recovery and so on and so forth. I don’t like evening or late-night training.
But, hey, at the end of the day, based on your schedule, you have to do what you gotta do, and it’s better than nothing. So whatever routine works for you.
So again, training in the morning is correlated to better, faster fat loss. Facts.
