As the quest for Olympic Gold continues, Maya’s most recent stop was the University of Toronto at Mississauga for the Canadian National Weightlifting Championships. With the country’s top lifters in her weight category, Maya had to pull out all the stops to deliver another outstanding performance. Being pushed by two of Canada’s top female lifters, including a former Commonwealth Games medalist, Maya broke two provincial junior records en route to securing a bronze medal.
Next stop: World Junior Championships in Poland.
