Emerson Verrier, Colby College Hockey

Dear Clance,

I hope this finds you well. I just wanted to give you my quote on training this summer and extend my gratitude.

Training at LPS isn’t just a demanding experience, it’s an enlightening experience. LPS is one of the few places in the world that not only pushes you to be the best you’ve ever been, but allows you to see what you can become. During my tenure at LPS and learning from Clance Laylor, I reached levels of effort, determination and perseverance that I did not know I was capable of until LPS brought them out of me. Any athlete that is truly willing to make the sacrifices necessary to be the best that they can be should train at LPS and recognize what is required to be the best in the world, and allow coach Laylor to guide them to excellence. Do not allow yourself to be limited by your own mind and body, and force yourself to demand perfection. To be a lion, you must run with lions.

– Emerson Verrier, Colby College Hockey.

I want to extend my gratitude to you and all of the coaches at LPS. I had an unbelievable experience and grew tremendously as an athlete and person. I would also like to apologize to Charles for not being able to personally say goodbye, and would like him to know that he is one of the finest and most principled men I have ever worked with. I cannot express my gratitude enough to all of the coaches at LPS enough for the wonderful experience they provided. Thank you very much for all you have done for me and my career.

In Health,

Emerson.
