“If you don’t want it, I can’t help you.” – Clance Laylor

Clance: So this is the 2014, third annual off-season kickoff. Primarily to teach the athletes proper technical aspects of lifts, nutritional components.

P.K.: All Day! All Day!

Clance: Players I train currently are P.K Subban of the Montreal Canadians, Joel Ward of the Washington Capitals.

Joel: Yeah, its that time of year again, its like orientation I find at the beginning of the school year. Back in the gym I’d try to build my forearm strength if I could. You know you like to see everything.

P.K.: You know I felt that I put on a lot of size and mass since I’ve been coming here, but we want to maintain that.

Joel: You know watching him train over the past couple summers has been pretty impressive to see him with a lot of gains that he’s made and you know, its one of the reasons why I came here originally to Clance’s cause I knew P.K was here.

Clance: You have to find out the weaknesses to address the weaknesses to lay a solid foundation. Once you lay that solid foundation, you start to build on it. You know, cause I’m not going to beg you to come in and train. You know, you have to want it. I only work with athletes who want it. If you don’t want it, I can’t help you.
