My name is Daria Di Corrado. My son is Stefan Di Corrado, and he is a baseball player.

I found you through my son’s baseball team, the Mississauga North Tigers High Performance Program.

When he joined that team this year there were several student athletes on that team that stood out to us, and it turned out that several of those stronger athletes trained here at LPS and I asked this coach to break an introduction to Clance at LPS so Steph could get started.

My biggest concern in signing Stef up with LPS was the possibility of injury. I was just looking at all these new movements he’d be doing and the training regime and that was something that I was going to keep an eye on.

And he’s been here 10 months and he’s in the best shape of his life. I saw that the strongest members of Stef’s baseball team, coincidentally trained here, and I wanted him to have the advantage that they obviously had. The results I saw, they really started to come together towards a six month mark of training where I saw his agility really improved and when he went with his team for spring training, he was in great shape.

He had improved endurance, improved speed, which was probably one of the things I was most concerned with is his power, his strength had just improved so much. And these were results that were not only noticeable to me and my husband but to other parents who started to say positive things to me about the changes they’d seen in him over the years.

Stef played on a couple of baseball teams at different levels, and those coaches wanted to take the team to different facilities to train. So over the years, it’s been a real mishmash and haberdashery of training exercises that just really didn’t result in any tangible improvement over time.

I was really looking for a comprehensive program that would really expose him to all facets of his health and athletic journey. So it’s not only worrying about developing the strength and developing the agility but it’s also the importance of sleep, the importance of stretching, the importance of your recovery program, massage and incorporating all kinds of self-care into that routine.

That is learning from the trainers here at LPS. I didn’t wanna have to go to many different places where there was no comprehensive approach to his development. LPS is a place where you come to have a program that is very fulsome that covers all aspects that the athlete needs. Dominate means to me that the child has put in the work, done the hard work, had the discipline, had the dedication, and they’re ready to execute and it comes through them, their confidence coming through and performing the best that they can.

I think the most important advice  I’d give to other parents is get real with yourself. Everybody wants to hear from coaches and other parents how great your kid is, how good they look. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s gonna take time. All those things are just words. You need to see results. So you need to have a program that’s going to over time continually build on the results your child is getting. They’re getting stronger, they’re getting more agile, they’re getting faster, and they’re gaining in confidence. This is a program that actually really benefits your child’s mental health in terms of giving them a tremendous sense of discipline, accomplishment, focus. As I said before, a lot more confidence in what it is that they’re doing.

LPS is different from other facilities in that this really is a one stop shop. Your money is very well spent here. The instructors walk the talk. They actually live this lifestyle and that’s what it is.It’s a lifestyle. They have the knowledge and the experience, and they will teach your child, transfer that knowledge to your child about what they need to be eating, the supplements and the vitamins and minerals they need to be taking in the sleep. They need to be getting the recovery,  and the REST program.

Not only the muscle training, but how much they need to be doing all kinds of things. I feel like  this is the one stop shop where you get everything at one place. I would say, make the decision easy on yourself when you go to a facility where they are able to provide a very unified and comprehensive approach to your child’s training.

You don’t wanna be setting your money on fire all the time and just throwing money down the drain and trying to schedule things with different programs that aren’t talking to each other. Hear the trainers talk to each other and they talk to the student athlete themselves knowing when they’re going for spring training, when they’re taking the summer training, when they’re going for tournaments, when they’re schedules are ramping up or ramping down and it’s very important to have that coordinated approach.

We’re very happy with this decision. I am so happy with it. The only thing I wish is I’d heard about it and registered my son earlier. He’s at this point in time, had 10 months here, and the results have just been night and day from when he started and it’s being noticed by coaches, It’s being noticed by teammates, noticed by teachers, friends, and other parents. People are asking me what we are doing, and I think that’s the biggest compliment. I think he’s a very good example of what a really strong training program looks like.
