This past weekend, LPS held their 4th Annual Off-Season Kick-Off. With this event being my second in attendance as a coach, I arrived at a solid reflection with one key thought on my experience:
Culture is EVERYTHING.
As my most influential mentor, Clance Laylor (Owner/Head Coach) has a saying that I will hear at least weekly: culture drives habits, habits drive behaviors, behaviors drive success. I could not agree more with this statement this weekend.
As an athlete attending the Off-Season Kick-Off, you arrive at 9:00 AM, expecting a tough day ahead, but you aren’t necessarily expecting nearly 5 hours accumulated of hard training (breaks were given!). As a coach, you expect that the fatigue you see on that break after the first session will stay, but that is not the case! What were once extremely fatigued individuals, became MONSTERS into the second session!
The culture and environment set the tone in that second session. Athletes and coaches alike brought together a culmination of intensity that I have never experienced before, and the sheer energy engulfed the facility!
This is what Laylor Performance Systems is all about: Culture. Family. Respect.

Laylor Performance Systems is proud to announce our 4th Annual Off-Season Kick-Off! We are proud to celebrate the success of the athletes who are currently training through our program. This program is designed to identify each athlete’s specific weaknesses, through careful testing and observation.
We design our programs with precision to assist in setting a solid foundation from which we can work to achieve improved levels of whatever combination of power, speed, strength, and size is optimal for each athlete.
The goal of the Off-Season Kick-Off is to ensure that each athlete leaves with competent technical efficiency of execution for each exercise in their program.
Individualized nutrition and supplementation protocols will also be provided for each athlete, with a focus on either gaining mass or reducing bodyfat levels to optimize body composition.

We will not fall prey to gimmicks or fads in training, but rely on methods that have been proven effective over many years and across a variety of sports. We employ the best practices established over many years of study, observation, and practical experience to yield huge results and increase athletic performance.
