I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this 30-Day Challenge to get my life back. It was thirty days of no processed foods and sugar, mainly vegetables and quality protein.

For me, this challenge seemed to be the best way to help me change my lifestyle and become more responsible for my body.

I was laying on the couch watching cartoons with my kids one Sunday afternoon, getting mentally prepared to take on this 30-Day Challenge. I had just gotten back from a work trip to Spain, and on the flight I made up my mind that I needed to change my lifestyle.

Since I started the 30-Day Challenge, I’ve dropped from 241 lbs to 223 lbs, adding to the weight I lost form changing my eating habits 209 days prior.

But I fell off the wagon and had a bit too much of that tasty bread in Spain!

Getting rid of alcohol made a big difference for me in losing the initial 36lbs. I have not had a drop of alcohol for 209 days, maybe a tad longer since I’ve been keeping track of the days.

But I’ve never went thirty days without pancakes, and I wouldn’t have done it without the help of my family, friends, and support from social media friends and clients, some of whom I haven’t heard from in years.

I am glad some of you were inspired and decided to join in on the journey with me, but I put it out there for completely selfish reasons, and that was to help myself. I feel great!

I haven’t had this much energy, focus, and passion for family, work, and life in a long time. Fitting in clothing is great, and compliments are wonderful. But the way I feel trumps every compliment and the way I look in the mirror.

I’m not saying that looking good is not important to me, but at the age of forty-six, it is secondary to feeling great and having the energy to do what I love, a better quality of life, and to be more present with my children and grandchildren.

Thank you again!
