Ata Sarikaya, Strength Coach
As a student who’s been involved with athletics his whole life, Coach Ata discovered his passion for coaching through the application of course-based knowledge to his own training in order to achieve his goals. Coach Ata holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and he is currently completing a Masters of Professional Kinesiology (MPK) degree from the University of Toronto.
Dedicated to the belief that athletes can continuously evolve, Coach Ata is passionate about helping them become the best versions of themselves. Eager to work with athletes from diverse sports backgrounds, he recognizes the unique challenges each athlete faces and tailors his approach accordingly.
Growing up, Coach Ata’s life revolved mainly around soccer (football) and swimming. However, his experience also extends to training athletes of a variety of age groups and sporting backgrounds. He has used these opportunities to ensure he has honed his coaching skills and developed a strategic understanding of athletic development. Additionally, under the guidance of the coaching team at LPS Athletic, his repertoire includes guiding individuals in the intricacies of weightlifting, emphasizing technique, discipline, and commitment.
As a coach, and lifelong learner, Ata is poised to make a lasting impact on the athletic journey of those he guides. Whether on the soccer field, hockey rink, or weight room, he is committed to fostering strength, power, and the necessary mental drive in young athletes, propelling them toward their aspirations and beyond.
